Attach the connecting rod to the drain body and then connect the stopper rod from the back of the faucet to complete the drain assembly image 2. Before you purchase a pedestal sink remove the old sink and measure the location of the plumbing lines so that you can choose a new sink that matches up with them. Pedestal sink drains consist of the flange located at the top of the sink bowl and the tail piece that rests beneath it. Tighten nut on underside of sink. You purchase the faucet drain and pop up assembly separately.

Remove excess putty from inside of sink. Loosen the nut holding the tailpiece to the sink. Use teflon tape around the threads of the tailpiece to prevent the drain assembly from leaking. Before you install the sink install the drain pop up assembly and faucet.
